GUARDIAN AV 10 - Vehicle Mounted Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Jamming System

Applications

The GUARDIAN AV 10 reliably blocks RCIED triggered signals with an enhanced frequency range up to 6GHz. It is invaluable in battlefield and hostile environments where RCIED’s are a potential threat.

The system is easily installed on most vehicles including 4x4’s (SUV’s), minivans or saloon cars.

The main control unit is a splash and dust proof unit designed for use in extreme environments. It is typically mounted in a vehicle boot and powered by the vehicle DC power supply.

A set of whip aerials are fixed on the vehicle roof using demountable magnets. The system is operated from within the vehicle using a wired remote control.

Two unobtrusive low-band stainless steel whip antennas are positioned on the back third of the roof. The antennae heights are 1.4 and 0.3 meters respectively.

Four covert magnet type antennas are placed along the roof rack with a base diameter of 95 mm and height of 40 mm. A new “stealth” antenna is designed to counter threats from emerging IEDs using a higher frequency range.

Jammer behind driver’s seat

Due to its modest dimensions and clever wiring the GUARDIAN AV 10 keeps a low profile in the boot of a vehicle and leaves plenty of room for other equipment.

The device is very light (26kgs) and does not require any modification to the vehicles suspension, alternator or cooling system, as is often the case with other vehicle borne jammers. The system can easily be dismounted from one vehicle and installed on another by a crew of two-three people in very little time.

Control unit

The GUARDIAN AV 10 control unit is neatly placed between driver’s and passenger’s seats within easy reach of either.

The system is easily controlled by an operator. And in case of a jammer malfunction, the control unit provides visual and audible alarms.
