Long Range Naval Binocular Telescope

Applications

The LR NBiT is designed for long distance observation over sea or land. The superb optics together with the high light-gathering power allows the effective use of NBiT from dusk till late dusk.

A crucial combination of high magnification and wide field of view creates optimal parameters matched by unparallelled performance. NBiT is not only an excellent piece of observation equipment but, if necessary, by using azimuth coordinates and target elevation, it can define target coordinates.

NBiT incorporates a complex set of cleverly designed light filters in the left and right oculars. They significantly reduce the incoming direct light and enhance, simultaneously, the contrast of the observed target.

To withstand ship vibration NBiT is mounted on a solid column fixed to a ship deck. To provide long hours of comfortable viewing the LR NBiT is equipped with soft rubber eye-cups and a soft forehead cushion.

Due to its outstanding performance in adverse weather conditions with working temperature ranging from -30°C to +50°C, high humidity with fog dispersityMagnifications of 1-10 microns (equivalent of 95% droplets) and watery of 2-3 gr/m³ the LR NBiT is a popular choice among navy and merchant fleets.
