SafeTalk Landline (STL)

SafeTalk STL is a secure speech landline communication device developed to ensure call privacy. The SafeTalk Landline (STL) telephone provides secure classified voice communication and allows it to operate both as a conventional telephone and a secure device for classified/encrypted voice communication.

STL is built in an Advanced ITS Panasonic KX-TS2363 /TS2365 telephone with 256 bit encryption algorithm. The device is approved for use by government departments, ministries, law enforcement & police agencies, government contractors, banks, and commercial businesses. Customers may opt for either secure 256 bit GOST algorithm or AES 256 bit algorithm. Voice is transmitted at 4800 bps bit rate.

The SafeTalk STL telephone is designed to provide secure voice transmission over public telephone networks or leased lines (such as government telephone networks).In comparison to expensive, dedicated transmission paths STL is a perfect example of how to achieve secure communication at a realistic price.

Superior Voice Quality

In the past, a secure telephone call meant a compromise in voice quality. With STL the design ensures that the voice quality will be comparable to that of your clear (non-secure) telephone calls. STL works in both modes as clear and secure voice at 4.8 kbps in full-duplex. Speech codec is based on the CELP method.
