The SNIPER COMMAND & CONTROL SYSTEM (SCCS) is a real time integrated system of video, audio and data communication which allows a sniper operation to be remotely monitored and controlled by relaying each sniper’s identical viewpoint and target selection via an on screen live feed.
The system is composed of:
The portable command console is composed of:
Eight sunlight readable monitors each receive a separate video signal. The 14” monitor allows the user to view any of the 8 signals being received on a larger screen. Via GPS it is also possible to view a map of the operational area showing each sniper’s location.
The portable command case is equipped with the latest generation digital microwave receiver which operates within a frequency band of 2.5 GHz, with a COFDM digital modulation and with an audio/video MPEG compression system.
This transmission technology, which works simultaneously on 2000 carriers (not frequencies), receives a transmitted signal even when no line of sight connection is possible because it uses the signal’s own reflections. Due to the nature of the modulation the signals cannot be intercepted by third parties; and they are encrypted and made completely indecipherable.
The system is also designed to allow 8 channel digital video-recording on a removable hard-disk installed in the command console. The hard disk is inserted via video-recorders’ interface and data can be exported onto any PC.
The remote unit supplied to the sniper is composed of:
The remote unit for video recording is composed of:
1 High resolution pan-tilt, 20x zoom colour cameraHigh resolution pan-tilt 20x zoom colour camera and light intensifier are remotely controlled (optional)
The remote unit can be supplied in two different versions one has a monitor for video control, the other allows the transmission of commands and communication through voice without a monitor.
The beam splitter is an optical device which converts the scope image into a composite video signal which can be radio-transmitted.
The sensor connected to the scope includes a semi-reflecting mirror, a colour micro-camera with ¼” sensor and 3 micro-LEDs. The lens with semi-reflecting mirror directs the light toward the eye, but at the same time deflects part of the light to the camera lens which in turn captures the image and sends it back to the transmitter.
The lens of the camera has a mirror effect itself. This enables the straight reproduction of the image which would otherwise be reversed by the semi-reflecting lens.
The luminous micro-LEDs (yellow-green-red) reproduce the instructions sent by the command console.
The sniper has an external push button to send confirmation signals regarding his status to the command console. All radio communications are encoded.
External body work set-up:
The command vehicle has the following features:

Interior set-up:
Rack mounting with two LCD 14” screens to monitor simultaneously 4 video signals per screen selected via a QUAD splitter; 2 LCD 14” screen for PC1 and PC2.Please note: With continuous development of our products we reserve the right to amend specifications without notice.
